On May 24 the Oslo Queer Festival will tango all day long! From 14-16 there will be a free tango workshop, where you can get tips about “how to stamp your feet, strut your stuff and wiggle your hips”. The workshop takes place at Scenehuset i Oslo, and they have said that they might tango in the streets afterwards, as a warm up for the evening event: Queer Electro Tango Night with Club Iconoclastic. If you want to take part in the workshop, sign up at oslo.queer@gmail.com.

The Queer Electro Tango Night starts at 21.00 at the boat MS Innvik, where Oslo Queer has teamed up with DJ Deadswan and DJ Chris Lynch (Iconoclastic) to create a night of sweaty and ecstatic dancing (Age limit: 18, CC: 50 NOK).

The Norwegian magazine Blikk has a nice interview on their web page with Ellen Millar from the organizing comitee of Oslo Queer Festival. Millar informes that the festival will be held at Indigo on Brenneriveien from August 14 – 17, and that it will include a queer café, an art space, movies, workshops, seminars, lectures, parties and performances from bands/artists such as Miss Fish from Copenhagen, Nicky Click from the US, Noisy Pig from Germany and the norwegian band Princess Leah.
